Russian forces fire 50 projectiles on Nikopol, destroying houses, gas pipelines, power transmission lines

Russian forces shelled the Nikopol district of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast on the night of 5-6 December, damaging over a dozen private houses, gas pipelines and power transmission lines.

Quote from Reznichenko: "The Russians targeted the city of Nikopol and the Chervonohryhorivka and Marhanets hromadas [an administrative unit designating a town, village or several villages and their adjacent territories - ed.]. They fired almost 50 projectiles on peaceful towns and villages. There were no casualties."

Details: More than 10 private houses and outbuildings, two gas pipelines and a power transmission line were damaged in Nikopol.

In the Chervonohryhorivka hromada, the power transmission line that fed the pumping station of the local water supply was cut off. Currently, three hromadas (more than 9,000 families in total) are left without water. Power engineers are working to restore the operation of the pumping station as soon as possible.

Private houses and a gas pipeline were damaged in the Marhanets hromada.

Lukashuk noted that there will be emergency power outages in the oblast on 6 December.
