Russian army strikes civil infrastructure in three oblasts – General Staff report

On the 327th day of the full-scale war, on 16 January, the Russian invaders launched 2 missile attacks, 6 air strikes and more than 20 rounds of anti-aircraft missiles on Ukrainian territory; Ukrainian Rocket Forces and Artillery struck a command post, 8 clusters of Russian personnel, their fuel and lubricant warehouse materials and ammunition storage points.

Details: The General Staff of the Armed Forces notes that there is a high risk of further Russian air- and missile strikes at critical facilities throughout Ukraine.

On the Volyn, Polissia, Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna fronts, there were no signs of the formation of Russian offensive groups, but joint military drills of Belarusian and Russian air units had begun near the Ukrainian border.

At the same time, over 30 settlements came under tank, mortar and artillery attacks. Among them are Veterynarne, Zelene, Ternova, Starytsia, Vilcha, Budarky and Topoli in Kharkiv Oblast, as well as Seredyna Buda, Popivka, Pavlivka and Kindrativka in Sumy Oblast.

On the Kupiansk and Lyman fronts, the occupiers shelled the areas of more than 10 settlements. Among them are Kotliarivka, Krokhmalne, Berestove, Vilshana in Kharkiv Oblast, as well as Novoselivske, Stelmakhivka, Makiivka, Nevske, and Kreminna in Luhansk Oblast.

On the Bakhmut front, Rozdolivka, Krasnopolivka, Soledar, Krasna Hora, Bakhmut, Klishchiivka, Bila Hora, Kurdiumivka, Pivnichne and Vesele in Donetsk Oblast were shelled. In total, more than 15 settlements were attacked.

On the Avdiivka front, Krasnohorivka, Berdychi, Kamianka, Avdiivka, Pervomaiske, Nevelske, Heorhiivka, Marinka and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk Oblast came under Russian fire.

On the Novopavlivka front, Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Mykilski Dachi and Velyka Novosilka in Donetsk Oblast were shelled.

On the Zaporizhzhia front, more than 15 settlements were struck with artillery fire. Among them are Zelene Pole, Olhivske, Poltavka, Bilohiria, Novodanylivka, Orikhiv, Novoandriivka, Stepove, Huliaipole and Kamianske in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

On the Kherson front, the occupiers do not seize to terrorise the civilian population. In particular, Havrylivka, Dudchany, Kachkarivka, Zmiivka, Beryslav, Lvove, Novotiahynka, Sadove, Antonivka, Kizomys and Kherson were shelled with mortars and artillery.
