Ukraine’s State Bureau of Investigation said a notice of suspicion of high treason is currently being drawn up for the detained SSU Lieutenant Colonel, as well as a petition to the court to select a preventive measure in the form of detention without the option of bail.

The sanction of the article [of the Criminal Code] provides for a maximum penalty of life imprisonment.
