He noted that there were no casualties, but there was "minor damage to a farm outbuilding".

Kumpilov called on local residents to keep calm and said that he is "personally controlling the issue of ensuring the safety of the residents of the republic".

Local media outlets reported on Telegram about a large-scale fire in the Temryutsky district of the Russian Federation.

It was noted that the wetlands near the Golubitska station were burning at night. The cause of the fire was reportedly arson.

In addition, there were explosions followed by a fire at the Rosneft oil refinery at night in the Russian city of Tuapse in Krasnodar Krai, with media outlets reporting that it was an attack by drones.

On the afternoon of 28 February, 200 square kilometres of airspace were closed in the Russian city of Saint Petersburg, and the local Pulkovo Airport stopped accepting planes after an unidentified flying object (UFO) was detected over the city.
