About ten children are still in Bakhmut

Iryna Vereshchuk, Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine, says that there are no problems with the forced evacuation of children from Bakhmut, Donetsk Oblast, but about ten children still remain there.

Quote: "There are no big problems. There is a very high density of shelling there and people are leaving, especially children. We have about 10 children left there."

Details: Vereshchuk has added that the authorities will do everything to evacuate these children as soon as possible.

She has also called on residents of the territories under intense Russian fire to move to safe places.

Background: On 7 March 2023, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved a mechanism for the forced evacuation of children from active combat zones. At the moment, the only area that fits the criteria for the forced evacuation of children from active combat zones is the city of Bakhmut.
