Quote: "Commissioner Várhelyi will provide an oral update to the Council at the upcoming informal General Affairs Council meeting on 22 June, but the focus will of course be on the comprehensive enlargement report that the Commission plans to publish in the autumn."

More details: According to the agenda of the meeting, Moldova and Georgia will also receive an oral assessment.

Earlier, the media reported that the so-called "oral assessment" of the European Commission on how Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia have progressed in implementing the recommendations is likely to be given in June, although it was initially expected to happen by the end of spring.

According to a May study conducted by a consortium of Ukrainian analytical centres, the final score for Ukraine's fulfilment of the "European integration" criteria was 6.8 points out of 10, which is more than two-thirds.
