Russians hit aid centre in Kherson, woman killed in Sofiivka

Russian troops have attacked a humanitarian aid headquarters and residential areas in the city of Kherson, injuring at least five people, including an eight-year-old child; a civilian woman has been killed in an attack with Grad multiple rocket launchers on the village of Sofiivka.

Quote from the Oblast Military Administration: "The Russians have attacked a humanitarian aid headquarters in Kherson. The very building in the Suvorovskyi district where residents were receiving aid was damaged. Fortunately, no civilians were harmed."

Details: Earlier, Prokudin had warned that the occupiers could attack the railway station in Kherson and urged residents not to go outside unnecessarily.

Prokudin also reported that the Russian army struck Sofiiivka in Stanislav hromada using Grad multiple-launch rocket systems, as a result of which one woman was killed and one man was wounded.

The Prosecutor's Office added that the shelling took place at around 10:50 on 11 July.

Update: Prokudin reports five casualties due to Russian shelling of Kherson. A humanitarian aid centre and at least five multi-storey residential buildings are known to have been hit. Fires have broken out in the places that were struck. Rescue and medical workers are at the scene.

Among the injured is an eight-year-old boy, who has received moderate injuries. At the time of the Russian strike, he was on the courtyard of a house. A 68-year-old man was seriously injured. His head, neck, chest, arms and legs were injured by debris.

Two more people, a 56-year-old woman and a 52-year-old man, suffered moderate injuries. Another man was injured in Kindiika.

Prokudin reports that all the victims were hospitalised, and doctors are providing them with the necessary medical care.
