Russians shell fire station in Sumy Oblast – there were casualties, a shelter was hit

A fire station in Sumy Oblast has come under Russian fire on 17 July; six firefighters have been injured. Overall, there are 2 killed and 10 injured.

Quote from Kruk: "[There has been a] cynical shelling of a fire station in Sumy Oblast. Once again, Russia is shelling those who save people and fall under the protection of the Geneva Conventions.

So far, we know about six injured employees of the State Emergency Service. All of them were hospitalised."

Details: The head of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine posted a photo of what remained of the shelter that saved the lives of firefighters, and pictures of the injured. 

Sumy Oblast Military Administration reported that 2 people died and 10 people were injured as a result of the shelling of the centre of Bilopillia.

Quote from Volodymyr Artiukh, Head of Sumy Oblast Military Administration: "At noon, just when the residents of Bilopillia were resting in a park in the city centre, having lunch, and chatting, the enemy attacked them with artillery. The administrative premises were destroyed by shelling, people died – two local residents, Prykhodko Liudmyla Ivanivna and Dedushko Nina Andriivna. Ten people are injured, seriously wounded, doctors are fighting for their lives."
