Air-raid warning all over Ukraine: air defence responding in Kyiv

The Ukrainian authorities have announced an air-raid warning across the country due to the risk of missile strikes. Explosions were heard in Kyiv, and the Kyiv City Military Administration (KCMA) reported that air defence was responding.

Details: At around 10:00, the Air Force reported a missile threat throughout Ukraine due to the take-off of a Russian MiG-31K interceptor jet from Savasleyka airfield.

At 09:59, the Air Force reported that X-47M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles were launched from the MiG-31K towards Kyiv Oblast, and urged people to take cover.

Quote from the Head of the KCMA, Serhii Popko: "Air defence is responding in the capital! The missile threat continues! Stay in shelters!".

Update: At 10:30, the all-clear was given.

Quote from the Air Force of Ukraine: "The threat has been averted. Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia oblasts remain under threat due to the activity of enemy tactical aircraft from the southeastern direction."
