New observation posts and strongholds have been set up, and mines have been planted on the border between Ukraine's Rivne Oblast and Belarus; there are no signs that the Russians or their accomplices are preparing to attack Ukraine from the north, says Serhii Naiev, Commander of the Joint Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Quote from Naiev: "The number of observation posts has been increased, new strongholds have been established, over 15 new strongholds have been set up; tens of thousands of mines have been planted, including at least 20% of guided anti-personnel mines among these."

Naiev pointed out that a month ago, commanders and officers in the Northern Operational Zone were tasked with mining the area, setting up new defensive positions, and strengthening the protection and defence of critical civilian infrastructure.

The tasks have been completed.

"There is currently no threat, but it may emerge in the future. And it will take at least a month and a half starting today for the enemy to build up the necessary forces and launch offensive actions here," Naiev emphasised.
