Reportedly, the seizure of assets belonging to the Volga-Dnepr Group and the Ministry of Defence of Belarus concerns three D-18T aircraft engines for AN-124-100 Ruslan aircraft and one aircraft engine and air starter.

Bohatykh says that the lawsuit against Volga-Dnepr Group, which is one of the largest logistics companies of the Russian Federation in the field of air transport and has businesses and assets in many countries of the world, is also important from the perspective of international confiscation.

Quote: "Canada has initiated a similar procedure regarding a Ruslan aircraft, which belongs to the same company and has currently been impounded by Canada and should be confiscated in favour of Ukraine. Germany has frozen several more aircraft belonging to this company. This represents hundreds of millions of dollars," the official added.

Background:

  • Canada has already started the process of confiscating one Russian An-124 Ruslan in favour of Ukraine, but Germany still has no official position on this matter.
