Onher Twitter page, Brink posted an infographic of the Air Force with the list of Russian missiles and drones aimed on various cities across Ukraine that were destroyed over the past day.

"On Ukraine’s Air Force Day, and every day, I’m grateful for Ukraine’s brave air defenders," Brink wrote.

Background: From the evening of 5 August to the morning of 6 August, Ukrainian Air Defence Forces destroyed 13 Kalibr cruise missiles, 17 Kh-101/Kh-555 and 27 Shahed-136/131 combat drones. The Russians used a total of 70 projectiles in the air attack. The attack also damaged a blood transfusion centre in the Kupiansk hromada.

Russia's missile attack was condemned by the Czech Republic and France.

Last week, the US announced a separate package of military aid for Ukraine worth about $400 million. The new aid package will include additional ammunition for NASAMS and Patriot air defence systems, as well as projectiles for HIMARS missile systems and Stinger air defence systems.
