Russia claims to have shot down UAVs trying to hit Moscow

The Russians have once again claimed to have brought down drones on the night of 4-5 September, this time supposedly over Kaluga, Moscow and Tver oblasts.

Quote: "An attempt by the Kyiv regime to launch a terrorist attack against targets in the Russian Federation using aircraft-type UAVs was prevented at around 03:00 Moscow time on 5 September."

Details: The Russian MoD claimed that on-duty air defence systems destroyed an uncrewed aerial vehicle over the territory of Kaluga Oblast.

Updated: Sobyanin claimed that in addition to a drone in Kaluga Oblast, another UAV was destroyed in the Istra district of Moscow Oblast.

He claimed the drones were trying to hit Moscow.

Later, the Russian Defence Ministry reported the supposed interception of another drone over Tver Oblast.
