Russian occupiers in Crimea have stated that the ships of the Ukrainian Navy remaining in Sevastopol will be scrapped, rather than requisitioned for service in the Russian Black Sea Fleet.

Details: Russian propagandists said there were approximately 20 ships left in Crimea after its annexation in 2014, including the dock landing ship Konstantin Olshansky, the corvettes Ternopil and Lutsk, the command ship Slavutych and others.

RIA Novosti's source stated that "these ships remained in Sevastopol under protection until 2023".

The scrapping process for certain ships is allegedly "suspended" due to the need to ensure the Russian ships' safety.
