Russians strike Sumy Oblast, dropping mines and VOG grenades

The Russians launched 14 attacks on four hromadas in Sumy Oblast over the past day [a hromada is an administrative unit designating a town, village or several villages and their adjacent territories – ed.].

Details: Local authorities observed 59 attacks that were made using mortars, artillery, FPV drones, loitering drones, and a VOG dropped from a UAV.

Khotin, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia and Velyka Pysarivka hromadas came under Russian fire. 

The Russians deployed mortars to attack Khotin hromada, causing 10 explosions.

Velyka Pysarivka hromada was targeted by 24 mortar and 3 artillery strikes. An attack was also carried out from Russian territory with an FPV-type kamikaze drone (1 strike).

The Russians released five air-dropped mines on the territory of Bilopillia hromada.

In Krasnopillia hromada, two explosions caused by an FPV drone were recorded. A quadcopter-type UAV released an explosive device VOG type, resulting in 1 explosion. Additionally, artillery shelling resulted in 13 explosions.
