Aircraft-supported Russian forces carry out assault operations on Kharkiv front – Ukrainian General Staff report

Russian and Ukrainian forces clashed a total of 108 times on Saturday, 11 May, with Ukrainian forces repelling 28 Russian assaults on the Bakhmut front. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine did not disclose the number of Russian assaults on the Kharkiv front.

Details: Russian and Ukrainian forces clashed a total of 108 times. Russian forces carried out 7 missile strikes and 74 airstrikes. They also deployed multiple-launch rocket systems (MLRS) 83 times to attack the positions of Ukrainian troops and civilian settlements.

There were no significant changes on the Volyn and Polissia fronts.

On the Sivershchyna front, more than 10 Ukrainian civilian settlements came under Russian mortar and artillery fire, including Bleshnia, Khrinivka and Sosnivka (Chernihiv Oblast) and Basivka, Kindrativka, Sadky, Myropillia, Popivka and Studenko (Sumy Oblast).

On the Kharkiv front, aircraft-supported Russian forces carried out assaults in the vicinity of Strilecha, Krasne, Morokhovets, Oliinykove, Lukiantsi, Hatyshche and Pletenivka (Kharkiv Oblast). They also carried out airstrikes on areas near Vilcha, Lyptsi, Lyman, Izbytske, Vesele, Petrivka, Kozacha Lopan, Synelnykove and Vovchansk (Kharkiv Oblast).

Ukrainian forces repelled 15 Russian assaults in the vicinity of Synkivka, Novoiehorivka and Ivanivka (Kharkiv Oblast) and Stelmakhivka (Luhansk Oblast) on the Kupiansk front, where Russian forces attempted to improve their tactical positions. The Russians carried out airstrikes in the vicinity of Tverdokhlibove and Serhiivka (Luhansk Oblast) and deployed mortars and artillery to attack around 10 Ukrainian settlements, including Petropavlivka, Stepova Novoselivka and Berestove (Kharkiv Oblast).

On the Lyman front, Ukraine’s Defence Forces repelled 6 Russian assaults in the vicinity of Makiivka, Nevske and the Serebrianka forest (Luhansk Oblast) and Terny (Donetsk Oblast). More than 10 civilian settlements, including Nevske (Luhansk Oblast) and Terny, Yampolivka and Torske (Donetsk Oblast), came under Russian artillery and mortar fire.

On the Bakhmut front, Ukrainian forces repelled 28 Russian assaults near Bilohorivka (Luhansk Oblast) and Verkhnokamianske, Spirne, Vyimka, Rozdolivka, Andriivka, Ivanivske, Chasiv Yar, Hryhorivka and Novyi (Donetsk Oblast), where aircraft-supported Russian forces attempted to improve their tactical positions. Russian aircraft struck areas in the vicinity of Kurdiumivka, Pivnichne and New-York (Donetsk Oblast). More than 15 civilian settlements, including Druzhba, Hryhorivka and Chasiv Yar (Donetsk Oblast), came under Russian mortar and artillery fire.

Ukrainian forces repelled more than 20 Russian assaults near Novooleksandrivka, Yevhenivka, Sokil, Novopokrovske, Novoselivka Persha, Semenivka, Umanske and Netailove (Donetsk Oblast) on the Avdiivka front, where aircraft-supported Russian forces tried to push Ukrainian units out of their positions. Russian forces also deployed aircraft to strike areas in the vicinity of Kalynove, Karlivka, Mykolaivka and Novohrodivka (Donetsk Oblast). They deployed artillery and mortars to attack around 20 civilian settlements, including Novooleksandrivka, Sokil, Novopokrovske and Umanske (Donetsk Oblast).

On the Novopavlivka front, Ukraine’s Defence Forces are continuing to hold the Russians back near Kostiantynivka, Krasnohorivka, Vodiane and Urozhaine (Donetsk Oblast), where aircraft-supported Russian forces made 7  attempts to break through the Ukrainian defences. Over 10 civilian settlements, including Krasnohorivka, Maksymilianivka and Heorhiivka (Donetsk Oblast), came under Russian mortar and artillery fire.

On the Orikhiv front, aircraft-supported Russian forces assaulted Ukrainian positions in the vicinity of Staromaiorske (Donetsk Oblast) and Robotyne (Zaporizhzhia Oblast) 11 times. Russian aircraft struck areas in the vicinity of Storozheve (Donetsk Oblast). Around 20 civilian settlements, including Bilohiria, Robotyne and Kamianske (Zaporizhzhia Oblast), came under Russian artillery and mortar fire.

On the Kherson front, Russian forces undertook 2 unsuccessful aircraft-supported assaults on Ukrainian positions in the vicinity of Krynky (Kherson Oblast). Russian aircraft struck areas near Antonivka (Kherson Oblast). Around 20 civilian settlements, including Krynky, Tiahynka, Antonivka and Kherson (Kherson Oblast), came under Russian mortar and artillery fire.

Over the course of today, Ukrainian aircraft and units of Ukraine’s Rocket Forces and Artillery carried out airstrikes on 1 Russian artillery system, 3 radars and 4 clusters of Russian military personnel.
