- Seven US service personnel were killed in Iranian strikes on US facilities in the region in the first few days of the war. Six others died on board a lost refuelling aircraft in what was described as an accident.
- Over the past 24 hours, it has been reported that Iran has shot down two American aircraft – an F-15 with two crew members on board and an A-10 Thunderbolt II with one pilot. The fate of one of the F-15 crew members remains unknown, but the others were rescued and are safe.
- In the early days of the campaign, the US lost three F-15 aircraft to friendly fire from Kuwaiti air defence systems, but all the crew members survived.
