Russians attack Ukraine with 219 drones, hits recorded at 17 locations

Russian forces have attacked Ukraine with 219 drones since the evening of 17 April. Ukraine's air defence has downed 190 UAVs, but 28 drones have hit 17 locations.

Details: In total, on the night of 17-18 April (from 18:00 on 17 April), the Russians attacked Ukraine with 219 drones of various types launched from the Russian cities of Shatalovo, Bryansk, Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo and Primorsko-Akhtarsk as well as Cape Chauda in temporarily occupied Crimea.

More than 150 of the UAVs were Shahed loitering munitions.

Aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare assets, unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups from Ukraine's defence forces have been involved in repelling the attack.

The attack is ongoing, as several Russian drones are still in Ukrainian airspace.
