Ukrainian air defences intercept 138 of 154 Russian drones overnight

Russian forces have been attacking Ukraine since the evening of 29 June with 154 drones of various types. Ukrainian air defences have downed 138 of them, although 13 drone strikes were recorded.

Quote: "As of 08:30, air defence units had shot down or jammed 138 enemy UAVs, including Shahed, Gerbera and Italmas drones, as well as other types of unmanned aerial vehicles, in Ukraine's north, south, centre and east. Hits by thirteen strike drones have been reported at 10 locations, while debris from intercepted drones has fallen at two locations."

Details: According to the Air Force, the drones were launched from the directions of the Russian cities of Kursk and Oryol, as well as the temporarily occupied cities of Donetsk and Hvardiiske (Crimea).

The attack was repelled by aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare assets and unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups from Ukraine's defence forces.
