Russians deliberately strike Dnipro-Zaporizhzhia train: fire raging, no contact with conductor – video

Russian forces have attacked a Dnipro-Zaporizhzhia train, setting it on fire. One of the conductors is unaccounted for.

Quote: "The terror against passenger trains continues. This time on the Dnipro-Zaporizhzhia service. A targeted strike on a regional train."

Details: Pertsovskyi said the train was stopped in good time during threat monitoring, the passengers were moved to a mobile shelter and were safe.

"Contact has not yet been established with one of the conductors. We have evidence that she returned to the train despite the ongoing evacuation and the elevated threat level having been announced. Rescue operations are continuing," the Ukrzaliznytsia chairman added, noting that failure to follow orders and remaining in or near rolling stock "can have fatal consequences".

He also said that buses are being organised jointly with Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia oblast military administrations to transport passengers onward.

Background: On the morning of 8 September, Russian forces attacked a Kyiv-Sumy passenger train in Sumy Oblast, causing a fire and forcing the evacuation of 90 people; however, there were no casualties.
