Russian military personnel abducted three Israeli citizens in Melitopol on Monday: Tetyana Kumok and her parents, Vira and Mykhailo Kumok.

Background: Russian military personnel abducted several representatives of a local media holding in Melitopol on the morning of March 21, including the Kumkov family. They had been released later in the afternoon.
The European Union, in contrast to Israel, opened borders for refugees from Ukraine.
The Israeli government suspended visa-free travel for Ukrainian citizens and introduced mandatory registration through an electronic monitoring system on March 15, despite an increase in the number of internally displaced persons from Ukraine.
