Quote: "1,300 Mariupol citizens have already died in the genocide being carried out by the Russian Federation.

We will fight for everyone.

We will not fall."

Details: Andryushchenko said that the aircraft and artillery shelling by Russian forces does not stop.

He also said that Russian troops were delaying the coordination of the route necessary for humanitarian aid convoys to bring supplies to civilians.

Background: At about 4:30 p.m. on 9 March, Russian troops dropped several powerful bombs from planes on a maternity and children's hospital in downtown Mariupol.

Mariupol is under constant fire from aircraft and artillery of the Russian occupying forces. For more than a week, the occupiers have been surrounding the city and have thwarted all attempts to evacuate civilians through "humanitarian corridors".

Representatives of Ukraine have filed a formal lawsuit with the UN International Court of Justice regarding war crimes committed by Russian forces against civilians, including the destruction of hospitals, schools, kindergartens, etc.

On 8 March, Russian occupying forces offered the residents of Mariupol to evacuate under the barrels of their machine guns to Rostov-on-Don in Russia.
