At least 153 children killed in Russia's war against Ukraine - Prosecutor-General

Around 400 children have been casualties in Ukraine since the start of the Russian Federation's armed aggression, with 153 of them killed and more than 245 injured. These are the figures obtained by prosecutors for cases involving minors.

Details: Work continues to establish all the data on children who are casualties in places of active hostilities and in the temporarily occupied territories. It is currently difficult to count all the dead and injured in the city of Mariupol and in parts of the Kyiv, Chernihiv and Luhansk regions.
As recently as 27 March, it was estimated that 210 children had been killed in Mariupol alone.
According to data obtained by the prosecutor's office, the following regions have suffered the most casualties among children: 73 in the Kyiv region, 65 in the Donetsk region, 53 in the Kharkiv region, 43 in the Chernihiv region, 30 in the Mykolayiv region, 31 in the Luhansk region, 22 in the Zaporizhzhia region, 29 in the Kherson region, 16 in the Sumy region and 15 in the Zhytomyr region. Sixteen children have been killed in Kyiv.
On 19 March, the Russian military shelled convoys of civilian vehicles being evacuated through the "green corridor" from Mariupol, killing a father and his child.
On 31 March, a 2-year-old girl from Lysychansk, Luhansk Region, who had been seriously wounded along with her 7-year-old brother the day before, died of serious injuries.
On 30 March, two children were injured by shelling in the Chernihiv Region.
On 31 March, 5 minors injured as a result of shelling were taken to a medical facility in the Donetsk region.
In addition, 859 educational institutions have been damaged due to bombardment and shelling. 83 of them have been completely destroyed. The worst situation is in the Donetsk, Kharkiv, Sumy, Kherson, Mykolaiv, Zhytomyr, Chernihiv and Kyiv regions and the city of Kyiv.
