European Commission spokesman Eric Mamer confirmed that European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and European Foreign Minister Josep Borrell would arrive in Kyiv this week.

"President Ursula von der Leyen and High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell will travel to Kyiv this week to meet President Volodymyr Zelenskyy prior to the pledging event #StandUpForUkraine in Warsaw on Saturday", Mamer wrote.
The Prime Minister of Slovenia, Janez Janša, was the first to announce the visit of the President of the European Commission and the Head of European Diplomacy to Kyiv.
