Details: In its Morning Report, the General Staff states that Russia continued to launch artillery and air strikes on Mariupol on 12 May, while the aggressors’ main efforts continued to concentrate on blocking units of Ukrainian troops in the area of the Azovstal plant.

"Given the measures to evacuate residents, we should expect an increase (by the Russians - Ukrainska Pravda) in Russian fire in the near future," the General Staff warned.

At the same time, the adviser to the mayor of Mariupol said that at Azovstal, the invaders, under the cover of shelling, are trying to break through into the plant on the ground. He published a photo to this effect, which shows how Russian soldiers are moving into the territory of the plant.

Quote: "Live on air. The situation is getting more complicated every day."

Reminder: The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for the Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine, Iryna Vereshchuk, said on 12 May that negotiations are underway with the mediation of Turkey on evacuation of military personnel from Azovstal - they will start with the seriously wounded.

Soldiers of the Azov Regiment, despite a significant predominance of enemy forces and a lack of ammunition, continue to knock out the enemy from the captured positions on the territory of the Azovstal plant in Mariupol.
