Direct speech: "A huge convoy of cars with Mariupol residents (from 500 to 1,000 cars), who had been waiting for more than three days to pass, has finally been allowed to go to Zaporozhzhia."

Background: People who left occupied Mariupol said that they had to pass dozens of Russian checkpoints before reaching the territory of free Ukraine.

In addition, Ukrainians are being "filtered", a process in which the occupiers intimidate them, check their phones and suggest they go to Russia. Eyewitnesses say the occupiers boasted of killing civilians during the "inspection."

After the evacuation from Azovstal, the invaders separated a young girl from her mother. She allegedly did not pass the "filtration".

Also, Russians often abduct Ukrainians and then exchange the civilians for Russian soldiers.
