Russian occupation forces shelled a hospital in Sievierodonetsk on 14 May, wounding 9 civilians.

Details: According to the Luhansk Military Administration, Russian troops carried out 11 attacks on Sievierodonetsk on 14 May.

The video Haidai shared captures the damaged entrance and facade of the hospital building and its shattered windows.

Background:

  • On 14 May, Russian troops also damaged the production unit of Azot, which is one of the largest chemical plants in Europe, a technical school, and at least 11 high-rise apartment buildings.
  • 17 civilians, including 3 children, were evacuated from Sievierodonetsk on 14 May. This was the first evacuation in a long time, because the evacuation corridor was constantly being shelled by Russian troops.
  • On 13 May, Haidai said that Russian troops destroyed a bridge that connected Sievierodonetsk and the Russian-occupied Popasna.
  • The UK Defence Ministry stated that according to their analysis, Russian troops have already lost a third of their combat-ready units and will not have the capability to carry out offensive actions in the next month.
