Russian forces shelled Kharkiv on 26 May from large-calibre "Pion" guns, the range of which reaches 47 km, and multiple launch rocket systems. Nine people were killed and 19 wounded.

Details: According to Syniehubov, the night in Kharkiv was "relatively quiet"; no one was injured.

However, the occupiers continued to shell settlements in Kharkiv Oblast at night. A boarding school in Liubotyn was damaged as a result of enemy shelling. Chuhuiv was also shelled during the night. Homes were damaged. There are no casualties.

Fierce fighting continues in the region. On the Kharkiv front, the occupiers are focused on maintaining previously occupied positions. In the Izium region, the Russians are continuing to mount offensives. Ukrainian defenders are courageously holding their positions, the head of the Oblast Military Administration said.

Background: On 26 May, Russian troops shelled the Shevchenkivskyi and Kyivskyi districts and the Pavlove Pole district in Kharkiv. As a result of the shelling, 9 people were killed, including a 5-month-old child, and 19 were injured.
