The Russian army is attempting to "cut" the Luhansk Region "off" from the rest of Ukraine by seizing control over the Lysychansk – Bakhmut highway. Russian military equipment has already managed to cross the Siverskyi Donets river.

Quote from Haidai: "Today is a crucial day. We will be fighting for the ‘salvation route’."

Details: Heavy fighting continues in Rubizhne and Bilohorivka.

According to Haidai, "the Ruscists are trying to take away our ‘salvation route’ – the Lysychansk – Bakhmut highway."

Russian troops constructed a pontoon bridge to transport their military equipment over the Siverskyi Donets river.

Quote from Haidai: "If they establish their positions there, they will be able to continue advancing and approach the highway, thereby cutting the Luhansk Region off [from the rest of Ukraine] as this would mean the only route to safety and the only connection with other regions of Ukraine would be lost. But we believe in the Armed Forces of Ukraine! We have the means to fight the orcs. They will be swimming back as promptly as they crossed the river."
