Striuk: "As of today, fierce street fighting is going on. It is accompanied by constant bombing. A third of the city is controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine: a defence line has been built, and there is fighting in the surrounding residential areas. Combat operations are underway in an attempt to push [the occupiers] back."

Details: Striuk also noted that the city has had no water or electricity for about two months now.

"Our high-voltage power lines have been cut, plus 70% of the substations around the city have been destroyed by shelling. There are casualties, there are fatalities – mostly from artillery shelling by Russian troops, because the residential areas are being shelled. The streets along the perimeter of the city have been totally destroyed," said Striuk.

Previously: Serhii Haidai, head of the Luhansk Oblast Military Administration, reported on Saturday morning that the Russian invaders had hit Vrubivka with a flamethrower system, entered Orikhove, and were storming Sievierodonetsk. Information on casualty numbers is still being confirmed.

The day before, British intelligence reported that Russia once again controlled most of Sievierodonetsk, but its forces had been unsuccessful in their attempts to encircle a wider area from the north and south.
