Satellite images published showing destruction on Zmiinyi (Snake) Island after attack by Armed Forces of Ukraine

Satellite images by Maxar Technologies have recorded the destruction caused to Russian-occupied Zmiinyi (Snake) Island following an attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Details: Satellite images provided by the American company Maxar Technologies show traces of the destruction caused to the occupied Ukrainian island.

Reuters published satellite images of Zmiinyi Island before the attack on 17 June and then after the 21 June attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Previously: On the morning of 17 June, the Ukrainian Navy struck a tugboat belonging to the Russian occupiers that was carrying people and weapons to Zmiinyi. It had a TOR anti-aircraft missile system on board.

On 21 June, it became known that the Ukrainian military had launched a concentrated strike on the occupiers’ garrison on Zmiinyi (Snake) Island.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces hit a Pantsir S1 surface-to-air missile defence system, a radar station and Russian vehicles on Zmiinyi Island.
