"The occupiers are storming Lysychansk from the south and southwest. Fighting is currently underway in the area between Vovchoiarivka and the oil refinery [on the southern outskirts of Lysychansk – ed.]. They are attempting to block the city from this side and to gain full control over the transport routes to Donetsk Oblast."

Details: Haidai said that the Russian army continues to destroy the city of Lysychansk.

In particular, the Russians deliberately targeted three pumping stations, one of them in Novodruzhesk.

Two bridges and a car tunnel, which connected the two parts of the city, have been destroyed.

In addition, Russian forces fired on a market, once again attacking an area where many civilians were likely to gather.

"The Russians are obliterating Luhansk Oblast residents," Haidai said.

He added that many multi-storey apartment buildings and private houses were damaged on 27 June.

A lot of damage was inflicted on multi-storey apartment buildings and private houses on 27 June. Some neighbourhoods of Lysychansk were shelled several times.

The head of the Military Administration said that damaged buildings are searched for casualties whenever possible.

Earlier: Russian forces fired from Uragans [self-propelled multiple-launch rocket systems - ed.] on a crowd of people in Lysychansk who had gathered to collect non-potable water, killing at least eight civilians and wounding 21 others.
