One of largest attacks on Kharkiv took place overnight – Oblast Military Administration

Oleh Syniehubov, Head of the Kharkiv Oblast Military Administration, said that although the Russian attacks on Kharkiv that took place overnight were large-scale, there were no casualties.

Quote: "One of the largest attacks on Kharkiv in the recent weeks took place overnight. Around 22:30, the enemy fired on the Kyivskyi district of Kharkiv using MLRS [multiple-launch rocket systems - ed.], damaging private houses and hitting the road surface.

Around 02:30, the Defence Staff reported the launch of seven rockets from Belgorod [in Russia] on Kharkiv. Shevchenkivskyi, Kyivskyi, Saltivskyi, Industrialnyi and Kholodnohirskyi neighborhoods were hit.

Some of the rockets hit the open territories and didn’t cause any fire. Fragments of their shells, as well as the blast wave, damaged building facades and road surface. Early reports indicate there are no casualties.’’

Details: Mayor of Kharkiv Ihor Terekhov earlier reported that five of the city’s neighbourhoods were hit on the night of 15 August.

In addition, over the course of the past 24 hours, Russian forces continued to fire on civilian targets in the Kharkiv, Bohodukhiv, Chuhuiv and Izium districts of Kharkiv Oblast, damaging private houses and outbuildings.

The Centre for Emergency Medical Assistance reported that nine people were injured in Kharkiv on 15 August. A 75-year-old woman died from wounds.

Fighting continues on the line of contact.

The enemy attempted to break through our troops’ defences on the Kozacha Lopan – Udy axis, but the Ukrainian soldiers pushed the invaders back."
