Ukrainian army shoots down first Russian-purchased Iranian drone – StratCom of Ukrainian Armed Forces

The Strategic Communications Directorate (StratCom) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has reported that an Iranian-manufactured drone which had been purchased by Russia was destroyed by Ukrainian defenders near Kupiansk [a newly liberated town in Kharkiv Oblast – ed.].

Quote: "It can be stated with high probability that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have destroyed the first ever Iranian unmanned aerial vehicle [UAV – ed.] near Kupiansk.
Analysis of the appearance of elements of the wings leads to the conclusion that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have destroyed an Iranian UAV for the first time. It is a long-range Shahed-136 kamikaze drone."
