Russian Ministry of Defence revealed that they are using Iranian-made drones

UKRAINSKA PRAVDA – THURSDAY, 20 OCTOBER 2022, 15:15

During a television broadcast, Ruslan Puhov, member of the Civil Council at the Ministry of Defence of Russia, asked the hosts not to focus on the Iranian origins of the drones since everyone already "knows they are Iranian-made".

Quote: "We don’t wish to rock the boat, so I am asking you not to focus on these Iranian-made…because this is a classic case of storytelling just to create something sensational out of thin air, right? We all know they are Iranian-made, but the authorities will not admit it".

Details: As reported by Sirena, Puhov was saying this without realising the microphones were already on.

Later, Puhov complained to the Podyom media outlet about his memory problems and added that he may have said this or may not, or maybe all this was fake.

Quote: "I don’t remember saying this, I guess it was some kind of a staging. Maybe it happened, or maybe not. Unfortunately, I do not remember. It’s been a long time. I’ve had neurological issues after Covid".

Background: Recently, Russia has started using the Iranian-made Shahed-136 kamikaze drones in the war against Ukraine. These drones bear the Russian title Geran-2 on their bodies, and the Russian government insists that the drones are not Iranian-made. Iran itself also denies its involvement.
