Russian army lacks warm clothes, training and combat-ready equipment – General Staff of Armed Forces of Ukraine

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine declares that the Russian military does not have enough warm clothes and therefore steals them from civilians; many Russian soldiers die due to lack of training, and the state of "repaired" military equipment actually increases desertion in the Russian army.

Quote: "The issue of material and technical support of units of the Russian occupying forces that are directly involved in hostilities on the territory of Ukraine remains problematic.

Thus, according to the available information, the lack of warm clothes led to an increase in the number of cases of theft and looting by servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson Oblast."

Details: The Ukrainian General Staff also has information that the mobilised Russians, who arrived in the area to carry out combat missions, did not undergo appropriate training and do not have practical skills in the use of basic types of weapons.

"This leads to significant enemy losses in manpower," states the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

There is also information about the poor condition of the enemy's de-mothballed military equipment.

Quote: The poor condition of the military equipment that was removed from storage and delivered to replenish current losses was the result of frequent cases of desertion and surrender of the occupiers to the defence forces of Ukraine.

According to preliminary information, much of the weaponry and military equipment that the occupiers sent to the Donetsk and Novopavlivka fronts is of limited capacity or completely unfit for combat use. That specifically concerns T-62 tanks that were de-mothballed."
