Quote from Yermak: "Another prisoner of war exchange has been carried out. 36 of our people, one civilian and 35 military, have been brought home.

Among those released are guys who defended Mariupol and were at Azovstal, as well as National Guardsmen who were captured at the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant in the early days of the invasion.

In total, 22 National Guardsmen, 8 border guards, 4 Navy servicemen, and one guy from the Armed Forces of Ukraine were released. Unfortunately, the released civilian’s leg had been amputated.

We have managed to bring home people who spent eight months of the war in captivity. In the city of Slavutych, there is a billboard that says ‘We are waiting for the defenders of the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant at home’. They are coming back - and they’re not the only ones."

Details: Yermak thanked the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War for its work.
