We know the Russians won’t be going anywhere for Christmas – Secretary of Ukraine’s National Security Council

Further to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s suggestion that the Russian forces start retreating before the Christmas holidays, Oleksii Danilov, Secretary of Ukraine’s National Security and Defence Council, has explained that the authorities do realise that this is not going to happen.

Background: President Zelenskyy said on 12 December that Russia could start to withdraw its troops from Ukraine’s territory at Christmas, thereby demonstrating its ability to abandon aggression.
