Armed Forces of Ukraine repel Russian attacks near 6 settlements – General Staff
On 14 December, Ukraine's defence forces repelled Russian attacks near six settlements and hit two Russian command posts.

Quote: "Over the past 24 hours, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have repelled attacks by Russian occupiers in the areas of the settlements of Verkhnokamianske, Yakovlivka, Soledar, Bakhmut, Vesele and Marinka in Donetsk Oblast.
The invaders launched 31 airstrikes and 8 missile strikes on civilian infrastructure in Donetsk Oblast, and also performed 61 attacks using multiple-launch rocket systems.
The threat of Russian missile attacks and airstrikes on civilian targets throughout Ukraine remains."
Details: There were no significant changes on the Volyn and Polissia fronts. There is no evidence that Russia is forming additional units to launch a new offensive.
On the Sivershchyna front, the invaders fired in and around the settlements of Lypivka and Khrinivka in Chernihiv Oblast.
On the Kupiansk front, Russian troops fired at the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in and around the settlements of Chervona Zoria, Krasne, Starytsia, Dvorichna and Novomlynsk in Kharkiv Oblast.
On the Lymansk front, Russians launched attacks using mortars, tubed and rocket artillery near the settlements of Makiiivka, Ploshanka and Chervonopivka in Luhansk Oblast, and Yampolivka, Torske and Vedmezhe in Donetsk Oblast.
On the Bakhmut front, the occupiers attacked the areas of 17 settlements. Among them are Verkhnokamianske, Spirne, Bilohorivka, Yakovlivka, Soledar, Hryhorivka, Bakhmut, Ozaryanivka, Pivnichne and Opytne in the Donetsk Oblast. The invaders also carried out an airstrike near the city of Bakhmut.
On the Avdiivka front, Russian troops inflicted fire damage on the positions of the Ukrainian army near the settlements of Avdiivka, Vodiane, Nevelske, Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka and Marinka. They also launched an airstrike on Marinka.
On the Novopavlivka front, the occupiers fired at Vuhledar, Prechystivka and Neskuchne in Donetsk Oblast and carried out an airstrike near the city of Vuhledar.
On the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson fronts, Russian troops continue to fire at the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and civilian infrastructure alongside the right bank of the Dnipro river. The areas of 19 settlements were damaged. Among them are Vremivka and Novopil in Donetsk Oblast, Huliaipilske, Orihiv, Mala Tokmachka in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, Novovorontsovka, Osokorivka, Novotyahynka, Tokarivka, Yantarne in Kherson Oblast and the city of Kherson.
According to the General Staff, the occupiers planted mines in summer cottages and along the banks of the Konka and Chaika rivers within the Oleshkiv city hromada [an administrative unit designating a town, village or several villages and their adjacent territories – ed.] in Kherson Oblast.
Russians forcibly evacuated Ukrainian citizens who lived on the Velyky Potemkinsky Island near Kherson to territory still under the control of the Russian invaders, the General Staff reports.
In addition, the occupation authorities are working on switching the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant to the Russian energy system.
During the past 24 hours, Ukrainian aircraft conducted 13 strikes on clusters of Russian military personnel and equipment, as well as 5 strikes on placements of the Russian anti-aircraft missile system.
In addition, Rocket Forces and Artillery units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine hit two command posts and eight clusters of Russian military personnel, along with a fuel and lubricant storage point.
