Seven kamikaze drones headed for Kyiv at night, all shot down

Seven Russian kamikaze drones flew towards the capital of Ukraine on the night of 29-30 December. Air defence forces shot down all of them, however debris damaged windows in buildings in Kyiv’s Holosiivskyi district.

Quote: "According to the information from our air defence forces, seven kamikaze drones were heading for Kyiv. Two of them were shot down near the capital, and five more over Kyiv.

As a result of falling debris, windows in a residential building and a non-residential building in Holosiivskyi district were damaged. There are no casualties."

Background: Serhii Popko, Head of Kyiv City Military Administration, reported that five Russian drones were spotted in Kyiv’s airspace, and air defence forces destroyed all aerial targets.

Oleksii Kuleba, Head of Kyiv Oblast Military Administration, reported that some drones were shot down in Kyiv Oblast as well, but he did not mention the number. The Russians were targeting infrastructure facilities, but without success.
