Quantity matters: Ukraine's border guards kill Russian platoon in Bakhmut

The Ukrainian border guards killed a platoon of Russian invaders in the battle for Bakhmut, Donetsk Oblast.

Details: During the day of 16 January, Ukrainian border guards repelled a Russian assault on one of the advanced strongholds near Bakhmut.

Under the cover of artillery, the Russian forces conducted several protracted attacks on Ukrainian positions. 

The servicemen of the border guard unit repelled the Russian attack with small arms, mortars and grenades dropped from UAVs.

In addition, the command of the Defence Forces on this front provided fire support to the border guards.

Quote: "The attack by the occupiers was stopped. In the course of the defensive battle, losses were inflicted on the enemy: 12 people were killed, and approximately 17 wounded."
