Helicopter crash in Brovary: Names of dead pilots and passengers revealed

Three people from the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, three pilots from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, and three of the Interior Minister's aides and security guards were among those who died during the helicopter crash in Brovary.

Quote from Kruk: "15 people died [according to the National Police, 16 people died in the helicopter crash as of 12:30, including 3 children – ed.], including Denys Monastyrskyi, Yevhenii Yenin, Yurii Lubkovych. Our crew who perished: Oleksandr Vasylenko, Kostiantyn Kovalenko, Ivan Kasianov. Three children died."

Details: Ukrainska Pravda’s sources in the National Police confirmed that Minister Denys Monastyrsky’s aides and security guards were the other three victims among the helicopter passengers.

Bohdan Drapiatyi, Deputy Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, named the other two victims, Tetiana Shutiak [Monastyrskyi's assistant – ed.] and Mykhailo Pavlushko [Chief of Security of the Minister of Internal Affairs]. 

UP sources added that another victim was Mykola Anatskyi, a photographer.

Later, Victoria Navrotska, the Ministry's Deputy Head of Communications Department confirmed the information.

Updated: Later, the Ministry confirmed the information about all those killed. It also ascertained that Anatskyi was the Lead Inspector for the Communications Department.

The updated report also said that Oleksandr Vasylenko was the captain of the helicopter; he served as an instructor for the Special Purpose Helicopter Squadron; Kostyantyn Kovalenko was a pilot from that Air Squadron, and Ivan Kasyanov was a flight engineer. 

Updated: The list of those killed also includes Andrii Marynchenko, a Senior Detective from the National Police Department for Internal Affairs.
