American intelligence has no evidence of the plans or readiness of Belarusian forces to enter the territory of Ukraine and continues to monitor Russian-Belarusian joint military exercises on the territory of the Republic of Belarus.

Quote from Kirby: "I will tell you that so far we have not seen any indications that Belarus intends, plans or organises to physically enter the territory of Ukraine to help Russian forces in Ukraine."

Details: When asked by journalists about the close cooperation between the Russian and Belarusian forces and Poland's concerns in this regard, Kirby said that the American party shares these concerns.

"It is obvious that Belarus has provided tangible geographical support to Russia while the Russian Federation continues to strike Ukraine from Belarusian territory," Kirby stated.

At the same time, he noted that the United States is closely monitoring the conduct of joint military exercises between Belarus and Russia and is monitoring the situation "as it has been in the past".

The White House representative also noted that the strategic goal of these exercises remains uncertain and may consist of both demonstrating force and practising specific operations in the context of Russian aggression against Ukraine.

Background: The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine reported that it had not recorded the creation of strike groups on the territory of Belarus and called the dissemination of information about a possible offensive an attempt to pull the Armed Forces of Ukraine away from the combat zone.
