Mariia Berlinska, a veteran, volunteer, and director of the Aerial Reconnaissance Support Centre, believes that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy should create an engineering-related equivalent of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief and get leading Ukrainian drone manufacturers involved.

Quote: "I see no other way out than for the president to take personal control of the development of military technology in this country.

I have talked to most of our manufacturers. They are ready to work if they have a clear understanding of what’s needed for the state and for the front line. No one will ask for any money for this, because everyone understands what it’s for.

We are ready to help put them in touch with manufacturers, put these teams together and set specific technical tasks. Only by doing that will we be able to talk about any kind of parity [with Russia on the battlefield – UP]."

Details: Berlinska said that due to the lack of a clear state policy on the development of the aerial reconnaissance industry, Ukraine is currently "not even in a stalemate, but on the point of losing" when Russia has a technological advantage in this area.
