The Russians are actively changing the ethnic composition of the population in the temporarily occupied territory in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

Quote from Fedorov: "Initially, they impoverished the residents. Now, through the occupation employment centre, they offer work in Russia for the unemployed. Meanwhile, they import "tourists" from the Russian Federation to temporarily occupied territories."

Details: Melitopol Mayor says that currently, 50% of Melitopol's population are non-locals.

Quote from Fedorov: "Before the full-scale invasion, 150,000 people lived in the city. During the two years of occupation, about 90,000 left for other cities in Ukraine and worldwide. 60,000 native residents remained in Melitopol, but approximately the same number came from the enemy country."

Details: The mayor added that, nowadays, Melitopol residents do not meet any familiar faces when they go out because "there are rascals from Russia all around."
