Details: Russian journalists also asked Peskov whether Russia had appealed to China for military assistance.

According to Putin’s spokesman: "No."

Background: The NYT reported, quoting US officials, that Russia had asked China to provide it with military equipment and support in the war with Ukraine. Russia has also called on China for additional economic assistance to help counter the sanctions.

The Chinese embassy said it had never heard that Moscow had requested military equipment from Beijing after it initiated its invasion of Ukraine.
