According to General Staff: "Units of Joint Forces are steadily carrying out a defence operation on the Donetsk, Slobozhansk, and parts of the Tavriya fronts, focusing their efforts on preventing the enemy from breaking through."

Details: Over the course of 24 March, Ukrainian troops have repulsed 9 Russian attacks, destroyed 12 tanks, nearly 20 units of armoured and motor vehicles, and 9 artillery systems.

Russian troops also suffered the loss of 200 military personnel. Air defence units shot down 2 Russian aircraft and 2 UAVs.

Units of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck down 6 Russian air targets – 1 aircraft, 1 UAV, and 4 cruise missiles – on 24 March.

The Air Force continued to patrol the airspace, protecting Ukrainian troops and military objects, and carrying out targeted attacks on convoys of Russian armoured vehicles, logistics centres, and densely gathered groups of Russian troops.

In the Volyn region, defence forces are focusing on ensuring the integrity of the border.

In the Sivershchyna region, defence operations continue. Ukrainian troops continue to hold Chernihiv and hinder the advance of Russian troops on Kyiv.

At the same time, Kyiv’s defence forces continue to repel the advance of Russian troops, maintaining all lines of defence and inflicting fire damage on them.

In the South, defence operations likewise continue in the designated operational zone. A stabilisation operation is also underway and territorial defence tasks are being carried out.

"Russian terrorist forces continue to fight, knowingly violating international humanitarian law and the rules of war," the General Staff said.
