Looting officially: Russia intends to steal grain and other products from occupied Ukraine

The Krasnoyarsk Krai [an administrative unit of the Russian Federation in the Siberian district -ed.] has decided to replenish its own stocks of agricultural products illegally with supplies from the occupied territories of Ukraine.

Quote: "Deputies present at the meeting almost unanimously supported the decision to import grain from the Kherson region, which has been partially taken under the control of the Russian Federation Armed Forces."
"As there is only one cucumber production plant in the region, and since there is an acute shortage of other vegetables and grains, due to foreign sanctions, not only in Krasnoyarsk Krai but also at the federal level, the expropriation of last year's surplus and current crops from the Kherson region will become one of the tools providing assistance to small businesses and consumer cooperatives."
Details: The representative of the aggressor state, the chairman of the Russian Committee Vladislav Zyrianov, said that his "colleagues" from other regions of Russia should also be able to "successfully" implement "such an experience."
Quote: "Despite the fact that logistics involve long-distance sea and land transportation, this approach will be ‘economically justified,’ given that many seed and fertiliser suppliers have left the Russian market, as in light of the significant heat and electricity costs of growing vegetables and fruit."
"After achieving all the goals of Russia's military operation in Ukraine, it will also be possible to increase supplies to Russia's domestic consumers by moving food from other southern regions [of Ukraine] under Russian control."
Background:
Kherson and part of the region are under temporary Russian occupation. The aggressors plan to hold a pseudo-referendum on a so-called "People's Republic of Kherson."
