Quote: "Occupiers who have control over the situation in Enerhodar have banned residents from leaving to Ukrainian-controlled territory and the city itself. Special control has been established in regard to employees of operational shifts of Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant."

Details: According to the intelligence information, streets of Enerhodar and neighbouring settlements are practically empty. Local residents do not leave their households, Russian military patrols are present in the streets, holding vote applications for a sham referendum. They are aiming weapons at everyone, handing over "ballot papers" and pointing at the place where people need "to put a tick". In some cases, they are forcing people to "vote" on behalf of their long-deceased relatives. Those who have voted against joining Russia are being threatened with conscription.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on 27 September that the situation at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant had remained tense. In particular, employees of the plant did not want to cooperate with the enemy, and were trying to leave the occupied territories.

Background: A video shared on social media showed armed Russian soldiers going door-to-door in search of people to take part in the sham referendum in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
