“Thank you, boys” and happy children: General Staff shows how Ukraine’s Armed Forces are greeted in Kherson Oblast
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has posted a video from the liberated village of Blahodatne in Kherson Oblast that shows the defenders being greeted with shouts of joy and thanks from locals.

Details: The video shows a happy woman running to the building of the village council together with Ukrainian defenders to raise the national flag. She chants "Glory to Ukraine!"
In another part of the video, children jump happily, people walk around the village carrying blue-yellow flags.
Residents came out of the houses to the street and greeted the Ukrainian soldiers with shouts: "Armed Forces, guys, thank you, we've been waiting for you!".
The Ukrainian General Staff has noted that there is still a lot of work ahead, but the defenders would "continue to liberate our homeland step by step".

Background:
- On 9 November Sergey Surovikin, the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian occupying forces in Ukraine, announced the transfer of Russian troops from the city of Kherson to the left bank of the Dnipro River.
- The President’s Office of Ukraine remarked that a significant grouping of Russian troops remained in Kherson, and there are no signs of withdrawal from that area.
- On Thursday, 10 November, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that there was good news from Ukraine’s south: the Armed Forces of Ukraine have liberated 41 towns and villages.
- On the morning of 11 November, Russian media published photos and videos of the destroyed Antonivka Road Bridge near Kherson, reporting that it could have been blown up by the occupiers when they were leaving the city for the left bank of the Dnipro.
- Dmitry Peskov, the Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, did not deny that the fleeing from Kherson was a blow to Putin's prestige. At the same time, he added that Russia continued to consider Kherson its territory, despite the retreat of its troops to the left bank of the Dnipro.
On the morning of 11 November, the Russian Defence Ministry said that all the occupation forces had left Kherson and crossed to the left bank of the Dnipro without suffering any losses.
